If you haven't seen it and like silly humour, rent it now.

Watched it last night, had a fair few laugh out loud moments.

Interesting twist as well, totally unexpected.

Nothing to do with "Hancock's Half Hour" then?

Going to go with a No.. More a film about a "superhero" who is a drunkard........

Defintely a "No" then - which is pity because Tony Hancock was very good (if a little bonkers).

Seemed like two different films in one. We start with the drunken bum superhero, which was great, then suddenly it goes off on a complete tangent?

Well, I don't want to give the game away but it was about him trying to improve and become "liked" was it not? (the twist is not to be given away though?)

Thought it was a bit naff tbh, especially with all the hype surrounding it before it was released. Dont get me wrong, it is funny, just didnt live up to its billing for me!

I didn't see the twist coming.

It is a film of 2 halves though, the 1st is ok funny the 2nd goes into a poor superhero movie and isn't very good at all.

I saw it on a plane so lost nothing but I'd have been disapointed if I'd paid.

Pants movie, I thought. Showed promise with the idea for the first twenty minutes or so, but then just, well, crap.

Good movie, but struggled to make up its mind as to wha it wanted to be - superhero movie, comedy, emotional drama...

...didn't really excel at any of them.

I enjoyed it but first half more than second, especially when he lashes the gobby kid up into the air. Who hasn't wanted to do that to some little ste?

And I wish they'd explained exactly what Hancock was meant to be, alien, superhuman, angel, god?

Fool, if you would be so kind as to edit your post to remove the spoiler in case someone reads this thread and wants to watch the film........

With respect, it's an *old* film (i.e not a current cinema offering) so it shouldn't matter if storyline is given away here.

If it is, how far back should we go? I know the ending to Ferris Beullers Day Off, should I restrain from telling everyone? winkbiggrin

I see your point, but I posted this thread to recommend the film i.e. to those who have not already seen it, I'd say it's worth a shout. Therefore, if someone sees the twist, that kinda ruins it a touch does it not?
