I am really fed up with this. I have taken off the 4 retaining bolts, disconnected the pedal, removed the master cylinder and even smashed the bloody thing in two, but I still can't get it off the bulk head. Is it held there with sealant, or am I missing something.

ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRG!!!

Mine had a small amount of grease like substance behind it and it created a suction which I broke by gentle levering of the servo with a screwdriver. It didn't take much force. Full instructions for what I did are on my site www.gbsportscar.com but it sounds like you've done everything I did though

+1 after removing the 4 bolts and disconnecting the clevis pin it came away quite easily just a slight seal between the 2 surfaces.

My V8S had some black sealant type stuff but it wasn't especially difficult to remove IIRC.

Well sealant it must be, but by heck is it firmly stuck. I am off to give it another go then.

If your car is in bright sunshine the heat will be helping the adhesive to stick - you could try some cold water down the bulkhead / servo to try and cool it off a bit. Watch it doesn't end up inside!

yes mine was well stuck as well I remember... just keep levering but place a pad or something across the area of the bulkhead you are levering against to spread the load and avoid damaging the fibreglass. you can see the sealant/glue used on mine here...

Mine seemed to be glued on very thoroughly and took lots of careful prying to separate it.
