Vehicle Certificate needed HELP!!!

Hello fellow Griff owners,
I am writing o behalf of my friend as he is facing problems in getting his car on the road in Germany. After having a drive in my Chim (yes I know !) my friend was convinced that he needs a TVR after having owned Lotuses, V8 Morgans etc. Why he went for a Griff I cannot really understand, he talked about looks compared to a Chim, well he is still younger maybe that is why ;-).
When registering my Chim in Germany, I somehow got hold of an certificate issued by VCA (Vehicle certification agency). It is called EEC VEHICLE TYPE APPROVAL CERTIFICATE FOR COMPLETE VEHICLES. We have been searching all over Germany to get hold of one for a 95 /N Griff but all to no avail.
Can anybody help and send me a copy if he has this document by email or post. Please help another enthusiast to enjoy the pleasures of driving a TVR

I think I`ve heard of a situation like this before, and the TVR car club were able to sort it out, try contacting them via the website , or give them a ring on monday.

thank you very much for your hint, I will try to contact this man tomorrow.
it is somehow stupid, even so we have the original car documents the German TÜV won't issue the necessary paperwork for new German car documents as we cannot deliver a document with all the E numbers concerning the exhaust emissions, very frustrating indeed.
I wonder what all this new european crap laws are made for?

you might also contact user "UWES" in the German TVR forum. (www.tvr-forum.de) He might help you as well.
On the other hand Harald Gehrke is the most experienced contact over here, as the former main importeur of TVRs in Germany. I already had to deal with him and am very satisfied.
There is another contact in Hagen, which you might ask me for by PM.

Unfortunately it seems that the TVRCC cannot help me as they do not have the document I need.
the I wrote to VCA hoping they can supply me with a document but they told me to contact the manufacturer
Then I wrote to TVR, but their documents got lost while moving the company, so its seems they cannot help either.
Finally I contacted Mr Gerhke in Germany, a very helpful man and it seems that he can register the car as he has copies of the original documents necessary. the only drawback ist that it will cost my friend about 800 GBP if he does it for him. he is not really tight arsed otherwise I would not have boughta TVR, but 800 pounds to get the car registerd seems pretty steep to me.
I hope somebody will turn up with a copy of a data sheet so that we can proceed
