Catback question.......
Discussion
If you want to optimise each mod then yes.
Though I wouldnt bother if you are paying for the tunes.
I do it because I dont pay and I like to see what sort of changes occur with each modification even if there is no more power from them at times.
Its best to do ALL your mods then retune. Exhaust, intake on a stock engine you dont need to retune until you are ready.
Of course you may gain some power from the mod plus more from the tune.

Is a remap required after after having a catback exhaust fitted? My car is an 05 CV8.
And can you fit a catback....then add a set of headers later when funds allow.
Cheers guys.

I fitted my cat back without a remap and fitted headers and sport cats about 5 months later then remapped it. I gost headers and sport cats delivered from CAPA in Oz for £1100

If you need something substantial, like 3" pipe then Difilippo are not bad, but expensive!
Anything over around 550fwhp IIRC (based on David Vizards exhaust calcs) requires something over 2.5" for zero loss from back pressure.
Some of the wortec stuff looks quite good, though the "x-pipe" that was posted up here recently looked like a major restriction.

cheers for the link andy. Did monkfish do the fitting of the cats and headers and do the remap at the same time?
No. Mark at RapidGB did it all for me. I dont think you can go wrong using him or Monkfish.
I only went to Rapid as other Ro owners had used him and he was doing mapping for £249 instead of about £499.
Mark didnt have a major problem fitting the headers and i had them HTC coated which keeps the heat in the headers unlike a uncoated exhaust and it also stops rust etc.The overall finish on the capa headers look really nice. pic below.
