Currently looking at a 325ti...

Alternatively, i could get a vw 2.8 v6 4 motion...

I'm more inclined to the latter because i'm more fond of the v6 sound vs the straight 6 sound.

However, i'm sure the 325ti's sound could be improved with a better exhaust system..

Any advice on where to go in London, how much to pay...etc?

Thanks!

Nick

The VR6 is virtualy a straight 6 anyway (it's only a 15 deg "V") so I don't think they'll sound all that different TBH.

biased opinion but the 325ti is such a nicer car to drive and the I6 has a very very addictive howl. They are 2 very different types of car though.

Thanks for the input guys.

The VW has the haldex clutch, I would have thought 4WD was better than RWD?

To be honest, I have driven the 325 on an autobox which was fantastic.

I'm currently looking for a gun metail grey 03/04 model with under 60k on the clock, alacantra interior..and preferably the autobox which i think works well in the city! Been searching for for a few weeks now..no luck!

off the wall question! if i was to go for the 320td compact and have it chipped to 184bhp by superchips...would this be a good alternative to the 325ti powerwise?

It would certainly be cheaper to insure/tax...

Any thoughts? I know it wouldn't come to close the 325 soundwise but acceleration?
