Me, I replaced the UJs on the steering column (a job I've been threatening to do for ages but kept putting it off 'cos I thought it would be a fiddly one but it wasn't too bad).

Oh, and I washed it ...... and drove it.

So what did the rest of you do to yours ?

Went to the car show in Monaghan with the TVR club, gave the car a good blast.

And washed and polished it beforehand!

Last week, painted and detailed the brake calipers.

Must pop up to you and do that job on mine soon!

I fitted some ACT stainless steel water pipes.....I have the cuts and bruises to prove it, the backs of my legs are killing me! Thought it wasn't going to be fun and was right, although getting the temperature gauge sender bulb out without breaking it was a small moment of joy.

I have the pipes in place, just have to tighten all the hose clips and refit one of the upper water rails to see if I can stop that seeping. Will I be ok to drive it for a bit without the front cover panel, while I check that it is all watertight?

Had my little fella from 7am on saturday, put him in the buggy and he watched while I have her a clean. Then went scouting for good places to take pics. Spotted another Cerb from Wexford on the back of a lorry on the way home!!!

It'll be fine. Mines been off for 2 years. laugh

Mke sure you check all the hoses are away from the chassis. The pipe the comes from the top of the thermostat and goes to the radiator on my system rubbed the chassis a little so a strapped another bit of silicone hose around it to protect the pipe.

Also one of the hoses from the cab heater was very close to the left hand engine mount.

That's good to know, thanks for the reassurance!!! Will check the routes of the pipes tonight, when tightening up.

I spent 10 hours on my back with a drill and wire wheel removing rust and flakey powder coating from the chassis, then another hour or so removing rust from my eyes, belly button, bum crack etc frown

On the plus side, the chassis is in great nick with only surface rust in the usual places and half of the chassis is now ready to be painted biggrin

Saturday I set my alarm for 6ish AM. Saturday morning is clearer than Sundays. Out I go. Empty roads for an hour or so. Perfect.

(Its becoming a habit - and I usaully wake up just before the alarm with excitment)

Took it for a quick 440 mile trip to south Wales, through and around Brecon beacons...
...car was faultless (and suprisingly economical!).

Cleaned mine on Saturday evening after a tune-up on Thursday. Sunday - a nice run up to Snetterton to watch the GT's, quick chat with John and Andy to offer commiserations and then a blast home.

Saw 2 other Cerberas there. Which one was yours NeilH ?

Hey Storer - Mine was the Yellow Cerb parked next to the camper van just at the edge of the field near the bridge. I did not see any other Cerbs - Where were you hiding ?

I did not know the GTS were racing, so a bit of a bonus. What happened to the Cerb ? After a slow start he seemed to get his finger out and then pitted ?? Shame ...

I was parked towards the buildings in the middle of the circuit as was a another Cerb. I saw your car on my way out.

The APM Racing Cerbera was punted off on the first lap by a Porsche but managed to rejoin and later on had a loss of electrics (John thinks he hit the kill switch going over the kerbs at the beginning of the start finish straight). All-in-all a cr*p weekend for them. Snetterton seems to be jinxed as they have never had much luck there.
