Higher watt for headlamps
Discussion
Being in problem for the dreary slant-eyed headlamp of Cefiro, This weekend try to fix the problem, add four Hella relays for respective four headlamp and change the lamp with 100 Watt instead of its standard 55 W.
The relays might support this higher watt, my worries would it raise potential problem to damage the wires, socket, and the lamps' reflectors, as manufacturer specified only 55 W?.

yes i think the wiring from the relays to the lamps will need uprating aswell.
the increased heat from your new bulbs could affect your (plastic?)reflectors, will just have to try it for a few weeks and see.
perhaps you could try those replacement 50% brighter 55w bulbs-and keep the original wiring?

Many said to me that once we equip headlamps with relay installed actually it supports higher watt bulbs, but my worries is as such it could affect the reflector and wires can't stand for the increasing heat. In the short run of city driving it might not effect too much, but in the long run of 1 kkm trip when I have to drive all night and day, it could be an issue.the increased heat from your new bulbs could affect your (plastic?)reflectors, will just have to try it for a few weeks and see.

I will give a go the brighter 55wm so that can keep original wiring and no worries of reflector damaged. Some brands from higher prices offer 55w of bulb with more lumen so that it is brighter.
my car is a 20 year old golf, and you can buy relay-kits to let you use 130w bulbs and these relays always include uprated wiring aswell-
i've heard the extra heat from these bulbs can cause the glue between the lens and reflector to fail, causing the lens to fall out onto the road-so its likely that using high-wattage bulbs on a more modern car could cause similar problems.

Perhaps, using too bright of headlamps is against code of ethic of driving on the road that it may disturb drivers coming from reverse side of us, if not categorized as something illegal by the rule.
130 w besides against above concept, It requires bigger battery, alternator and wiring system upgrade, otherwise there will be power deficit on the battery or some devices such as horn will not work. Yep agree with HID, with more lumen it shines brighter without increasing heat.
