Skoda VRS (AVG 1.8T) Coil packs

I have been told that the coil packs on the AVG 1.8T dont last to long. Is this correct and if so is it best to get OEM ones to replace them with? Thank for you help Dan.

Aftermarket ones are fine most of the time. The only issues I've heard of are on remapped cars as the extra power highlights any coilpack faults. Most of the people I know running remapped highpower motors stick with OEM as the chance of failure is lower with them. If your running a standard motor then aftermarket ones should be fine for you.
