Most of the roads (as opposed to tracks) in Malawi have signs informing you that the EU have paid for them. Which is nice.

I bet the Chinese are laughing. They've got their claws in all over Africa, and getting the Europeans to build them a railway to carry Ethiopia's raw materials to the coast so they can ship them off to Shanghai is the icing on the cake!

World Bank/EU/IMF it almost all comes from western countries for development.
