puma problem (please help)

ive got ford puma 1.7vct, and whenever i take my foot off the accelerator between 1600-1700rpm she judders continuosly until its not between 1600-1700rpm. also whenever im at any revs above 1700rpm and take my foot off she judders, but only once as soon as my foot is off.
it went in to have a full diagnostic check and had no faults except the fan wasnt kicking in (fitted new thermostat still no luck). and i cant see how thats related.

please, any help would be really appreciated.

It judders on the overun? Between 1.6 - 1.7k revs? Theres something really odd going on there! Is it definately the engine causing it?

ye i know, everyone ive spoke to cant explain it, and it would cost me a fortune to try all the different parts that might be causing it.

yes definelty something to do with the electronics or engine

have you tried asking for advice on the www.pumapeople.com or www.projectpuma.com sites?
the pumapeople has a 'help its an emergency' part - they usually get back asap
