Tamora LCD Display, gone again....

Hi Guys

Having had the LCD display re-done 3 times now I am a little frustrated that it has gone again!

Whilst I love the look of the overall display its all bks if you cant read it so was thinking of ditching it and going for a Stack It 8130 in white with a carbon back plate.

Granted they come in a bit pricey so am on the look out for a used item if I can find it but wonder if anyone else has had similar problems or come up with alternative solutions?

The only thing I hate about the TVR is the instruments! I have always hated digital readouts. For me I would love to put the Cerbera analogue instrument clusters in the Tam. would look far better IMO and you can still read the gauges on a sunny day with the roof off.

When you say you've had it re-done do you know what has been re-done?

What was done, sent off to bloke at TVR (last time 'the barn') who presumably replaced a couple of resistors or something and soldered it.

First time via London TVR then Austec and lastly Taylor TVR, I believe they all used the same chap in Blackpool though.

So you don't know if they have actually replaced the screen? Maybe worth changing it if you are going to keep the screen?

Thanks for your responses. I believe (will check paperwork later) that the last time it was just the resistors or whatever but the original time it was the screen.

When it cam back last time it was ok when warm but unable to read when cold. Now it has just gone faint again most of the time though sometimes it is readable. Joy!
