NASCAR and WRC licence for GT5? Truth or rumour?

Heard from a mate who saw coverage of the E3 show the other week and he reckons they've got licences for both and that the game away is ready for release "at any time"! If this is true its great news cos i'm fed up with waiting:@

The NASCAR and WRC bit is true, it's scheduled to be released Oct-Dec.

No it's not, there is no scheduled release, well public one anyway. Octoberish is GT mobile's release date.

Not saying we won't see GT5 before Christmas but there is nothing offical yet, I think it was confirmed that it'll be a global release this time though, it was a rumour before E3.

I'm pretty sure it was to be out Q4 this yeah with Forza 3, obviously nothing official, though I won't be surprised if it's not released until mid-2010.

With no firm release date 4 months before a 'proposed moveable' date, I can't see it being released then!

The rumour is that the release date will be announced at the Tokyo Motor Show in October.

Various internet/magazines and plus the creator, whatever his name is, said in an interview he suspects it won't be out in 2009.

GT5 is ready to be released whenever PD decide they say that there are just a few more things they want to do but the game itself is ready for release. source below.

It will be out this year sometime IMO.

Hence why OPM are doing a full preview in next months magazine.

Given the OPM preview and the rumors about an announcement at the TMS, I'd bet it coming out just before Xmas. There'll be GT5+PS3 packages appearing on the shelves by November IMO.

there we rolling demo's of this playing at LeMans, i could see the rally and nas car stuff in an exec box across the way from the grandstand.

Crashes etc look impressive........

Not too sure when its out but if its out after Forza 3 then i think that is a huge mistake.....
