My brother has just got a 2001 M5.

Any good specialists in the area for servicing etc?

Trying to avoid stealers. Coopers in Reading is pretty shocking from all accounts.

IMHO although Munichs quality of work is good they are very expensive, £1000 quote for Insp2 with valve clearances extra! Berkshire Motor Works is nearby in East Reading, say Steve referred you and he should be able to get you in soon.

I used Berkshire motor works last time for an Insp I.

Very good service - esp as I booked it in for an insp II by mistake. Picked up and dropped off the car as well.

Only bad point was they seemed to spill a little of something on one of the belts as it squealed a bit for a few months after. Overall pretty good.

Munich motors, I've gone in twice and not made it past the receptionist !

Coopers from my experience have been ok. They even replaced the discs FOC on our M3 after 7k as they had warped (all 4) and were obviously defective.

Coopers have taken over my local dealer in Aylesford.

Hand on heart I can say I've never had customer service like it.

Truly amazing and 'only' £190 for an oil service.

This guy.......http://www.darjac-racing.co.uk/

The web-site is rubbish, but his knowledge and enthusiasm is incredible. I just wouldn't take mine anywhere else. Look on the M5 Board for feedback and you will see what I mean.

I'm another to recommend CPC. Whe he rang me the bill was LESS than I expected. Then its was INC VAT! Nice.

Didn't take Amex so I missed out on some airmiles though wink ha ha

Had Oil Service, Air Con, Brake Switch Sensor failure, and the Visucous and Rad fan done. Oh and he fixed the hood for £100.

He even picked me up from Rickmansworth station when the tube tts were doing "work" on the line North of there.
