Just looking at getting a 70-300 zoom. Looking at the prices of the Sigma APO & the Nikon and seems it's £180 v £400, which is a big difference. I have a Sigma 400mm for my old OM's which gave superb results in the days of film. If the digital Sigma's are as good I'm relaly struggling to justify the price difference. Anyone any experience of the 2 lenses or the current sigma lenses?

Simpo Cameras is doing a good trade today! :rubshands:

If you can manage without AF-S I have one of these up for adoption. Quality and pricewise it's about halfway between the G and the VR, but as well built as the latter.

Hope this is of interest - sealed bids behind the hot water pipes, Victoria Station.

It's quite strange, as I love my 24-70 2.8 and also the 18-50. And the 10-20. But that 70-300, you're wasting your money IMO. I had it for 2 days and went and bought the Nikon 70-300 instead which I've had very few problems with

I'm selling my Sigma APO 70-300 as it doesn't autofocus with my D60. £110 posted if you want it.

Cheers Stuart

Nikkor all the way. Used it at Cosford Airshow on Sunday. Great results IMO
