speaker dies when door closed. why?

i assume i have a broken wire in the loom that passes thru to the door but has anyone had this specific fault and if so where is the break likely to be? or are there some connectors that can work loose? has anyoe done a repair on broken section of wire or is it better to re-wire the door loom?

If you look behind the carpet by the dash where it meets the door, you should find a multi-connector that has the speaker cables in it amongst other things (speaker cables are usually grey). Mine was dodgy at this point too.

You can hide a replacement wire behind the sleeve where it passes into the door then splice it into the original loom. Completely invisible
