Engine tune - can anybody recommend an Independent ?

Mother in law's 1998 Spider is not running right. Occasionally it kangeroos at low speeds and when travelling at motorway speeds often has no oomph when you put your foot down.

I think an engine diagnostic check and tune up is needed but any other help would be greatfully appeciated.

Are there any Specialists in Southampton/Hampshire who are good at this sort of thing?
