As per title - are there any filter attachments for non-SLRs? I've had a few compacts over the years, and it would have been handy to have had at least a polarizing filter. I'm sure I've seen some at times over the years but can't find any right now.

Although my sister has figured out that her phone (some SE device) has a polarizing filter on it. She's also got a bleedin' Nikon D90 ....

I've certainly seen push on filters - similar to the push on macro adapters.

Lee do a set for rangefinder type cameras. It's basically a smaller version of their normal set. I believe it fits lenses up to 65mm in diameter. As with most things Lee it's very expensive but you'd only have to buy it once to last a lifetime.

Ta - done a bit of browsing and found some for Kodaks (I've got a Kodak Z1285), but not sure they'll fit. Although at something like £6 inc postage, its worth the risk.

Hehe, you aren't wrong about the price - £110 for the adapter! More than the camera is worth.

Does the lens on your camera have a screw thread on it? I used to have an Olympus C-450 (iirc) which did, so could take any basically any screw in filter via a step up ring to fit the actual lens.

Cokin Filterfast system will do what your looking for it attaches using the tripod socket. 'A' series filters seem to be cheap on ebay aswell.

Thats looking more like it.

Its starting to wonder about going the entry level DSLR route though, I'm starting to get creative imaging thoughts back in my mind for the first time in over years.

Or maybe I just buy a battery for the Canon AE-1 ...
