According to the Viper Registry there was no Blue RT's made until 1997... (And only 53 of them) It has the right wheels and side sills for that year, but the hood is wrong... I'm guessing it's cheap for a reason...

dvla do have a habbit of putting them a year or so back ,if the right paperwork is not supplyed

So the earliest it can be if it is genuine is "97" and a real bargain. I am almost tempted to take a drive down to the seaside to satisfy my curiosity.

It seems to have a GenI/GenI.5 smooth hood, which doesn't seem right to me as I'm pretty sure that even the RT's in 97 had the vented hoods as the smooth hoods ended in 96 on the GenI.5's... I have to say I'm quite curious to know what it is... It's a pretty rare car if it's a genuine 97 RT

Having done a bit more research there are a few 97's out there with smooth hoods... Must have been on the crossover I guess... Maybe they ran the RT's with smooth hoods for a while longer before using the same GTS hood? (Neil will know)

There's possibly some history there then... Different wheels than in that photo though Neil, but then as I mentioned above, that may not even be a picture of the car on the ad as is clearly a poorly cropped version of the other one...
