Anyone know what happened to the driver of the 4am crash?

Saw him being carried into the ambulance behind the screens, did not look good, although I since heard he was concious... hope he is ok?

I've posted on another thread about what i saw but to reiterate, I was sat on the bank with the Dunlop bridge to my right, the big screen ahead and the Forest Esses to my left. I glanced right and i saw the car take off just before where the big screen was situated on the run down from the Dunlop bridge. The car struck the barriers, i dont know whether it was upright or not but it was airbourne. the car then tumbled along the wall disintegrating as it went before coming to rest in the gravel trap. There was no movement from the driver from what i saw but there were lots of medics and marshals holding up sheets. I have to say i was fearing the worst and it was a pretty shocking thing to see. after a while i heard an announcement saying he was conscious and on his way to hospital.

He has since been discharged without serious injury, Link to Treluyer's Blog http://www.benoittreluyer.com/blogg/?p=1744

thanks Squirrel,

I am really pleased to hear this, I was told he was concious, bit I have to say, seeing the tarpaulins around him as he was being loaded into the ambulance reminded me a bit too much of Senna / Imola 94
