hi all,
I'm looking to book an experience for my girl with these guys. She loves aircraft and loves to get a few airshows under her belt every year. Can anyone recommend them or an alternative ?

I know its weather dependent, but ideally I'd like to keep it as a massive surprise for her until we turn up at the airfield on her bday.
cheers
Paul

I'd prefer a ride in one of the Hunters based there.

I know peeps who have used them for unusual-attitude work post PPL, and others who have done the Top Gun day out. Cannot recommend them highly enough.

Top banana. A good bunch who provide excellent training. You won't go far wrong with them.

Sadly, a Hunter trip will probably cost 10 times what a Extra 300 sortie will, and whilst it can go like stink the Hunter's aerobatic reportiore is limited.

Ultimate High's real niche is in the formation / tail-chase market - the so called 'Top Gun' experience - the OP lists his location as Suffolk - in which case I'd highly recommend the Freestyle experience at White Waltham, on the grounds that its closer, less expensive and offers a genuine insight into the Unlimited capabilities of the Extra 300, which UH are unlikely to be able to provide. The food is better at Waltham as well....

There is also an Extra 200 (rather less fruity than the 300, but fairly capable nonetheless) available at Cambridge, which might be an option.

Not sure I'd want to "explore the unlimited nature of an Extra 300" on an air experience flight!

A lot of the Waltham punters seem to enjoy experiencing freestyle figures - things with funny foreign names like Ruade, Eventail, Lomchevak - which don't actually need to involve punishing g loadings, but which most flying experience outfits don't offer because the instructors, whilst being perfectly competent, don't have a background of Unlimited level aerobatics.... wink

That's true! I have to admit that I'm far more of a gentle aero's man myself. Feeling like you're in a washing machine just doesn't do it for me!
