Hi all,

I've agreed a price on a Fiat Coupe 20vt and I've been offered a second hand Powerflow cat-back exhaust with a 4" exit for £80 as part of the deal. I dont have a clue about aftermarket exhausts but was going to look into getting one to make the most of the 5 cylinder warble.

Does this sound like a good deal and will it sound nice? If anyone has any experience of Powerflow systems I'd like to hear from you. I'd like a system that's not too loud or un-bearably bassy as I do a fair bit of motorway driving. Just a nice fruity sound with a bit of get-up-and-go will do me nicely.

Thanks in advance thumbup

It's about 300 notes for an OEM system, so as long as it's in decent nick then that's a bit of a steal.

powerflow are custom made systems, about £350-£400 new.

So it sounds like I should get it like it or not. I'll be having a look then.

I think with Powerflow exhausts you can take it back to them to get it changed if you don't like the amount of noise you're getting - although you'll get charged for it of course.

The car certainly needs something other than the standard exhaust to sound its best.

Powerflow have franchises around the country, and the skill of the fitters varies from knuckle dragging apes to actually pretty competent, and this reflects totally on the quality of the exhaust. Hence it's difficult to recommend a Powerflow system without actually seeing it.

Thanks for the feedback everyone. I'm picking up the car tomorrow so we'll see how it sounds on the way home!

I'd be surprised if you find it too loud for you. I have a Powerflow rear exhaust (with my existing cat delete) and its still too quiet for my liking (so am just about to get a straight through rear section!!).
