How to dress up as a knight?
Discussion
Hi team,
I've been invited to a party round one of my mate's houses on Friday and the theme is "Knights of the Round Table". In fairness I have had a month to come up with a costume but just haven't bothered...
Does anyone have any (cheap) ideas for me to look knight-ish? I don't want to be boring and just get a standard knight's costume from the fancy dress shop... Any ideas? P. S. Batman "The Dark Knight" idea is already taken
Cheers

NHS specs held together with sticking-plaster, a nice tank-top, some comfortable slacks and some grey slip-on shoes. Take some fireworks with you and organise a safe (but boring) display in the back garden (ensuring all spectators stand at least a mile away). Place buckets around the garden for donations.
Oh, sorry, wrong Round Table.

Hello? Is this thing on?
OP - Do you know anyone who can speed knit? A chunky knitted long sleeve top and leggings, sprayed silver, will make passable chainmail. Its what they use in the film industry and re-enactment societies for 'background' use. Then make up a chest/back plate from cardboard and paint it like the St george Cross, pick up a plastic sword from Toys'R'US.
Job done!
