Just to let the PH massive know, I took clients to Roast in Borough Market yesterday and i can report that it is excellent. All ingredients are from UK farms and the meat is sublime. Go there!

To clarify, I have no connection with the restuarant (but would love shares!)

So why the angry face? Or was that pertaining to the bill? ears

I've heard good things too, and was wondering why the angry face when I saw the post.

Can I ask what you ate?

Sorry about the angry thing. I went to the right of 'thumbs up' rather than left! The bill was actually very reasonable at £80 per head (having had a bottle of the sparkling leg opener and two of white wine plus three courses each).

I had seared scallops (three of good size), three hours slow cooked knuckle of lamb and finished off with a montgomery cheddar (mmm!) served with a fig chutney and grapes. Every serving was well presented, well cooked and totally fresh.

Hope you didn't have to wait for it to be cooked. Or was it pre-cooked and they just nuked it in a microwave.

eaten there, it was all good apart from the kidneys, which were bland,

wish SWMBO had said something straight away

Good point, well made...maybe it was a 3 hour, 22 minute cooked knuckle of lamb. Whatever, it was formidable.
