I just took delivery of my shiny new Reba SL fork and it's come with a dual poploc remote and the lockout on the fork is cable operated.

2 Questions:

1. Can I use the dual poploc jobby without a rear shock? My understanding is that the front and rear are sprung in different directions and balance out the lever therefore it doesn't need a detent.

2. If the answer is no then does anyone know where I can obtain just the normal knob (anodised blue aluminium jobby).

Cheers!

1. Don't know - try it?

2. Lockout is spring-loaded in poploc versions; to change to manual requires a new motion control assembly - it'd be cheaper to get a single-action poploc.

I intend to try it but I don't have the right bits yet. Hopefully it won't be a problem. If it doesn't I guess I'll be looking for a single lever without the rest of the kit.

I spoke to the UK distributor and they confirmed that the poploc dual lever won't work so I'm just going to get a normal single one and be done with it. What a faff!
