Hi All,

On the way back from an excellent Le Mans 2009, I stopped at a service station and suddenly noticed the ABS and Handbrake warning lights come on.... strange as I hadn't applied the handbrake yet. Then noticed that the fuel guage dropped to zero after it was just filled up. When driving off, the speedometer, revs and digital speedo were also on zero/ not visible. After about half an hour of thinking about stopping and calling emergency service we plugged a separate satnav in just to at least know how fast we were going and all of a sudden everything returned to normal and has been ever since.
I also get "Tyre System Failure" error every now and then (mostly when driving fast) and the dealer has looked at it twice now to no avail so that may or may not be related.

Anyone got any ideas what would cause this?

Thank you
- Mark

You loss of speedo and ABS warning could be a problem with an ASB sensor, BMW do a very similar system and and have heard of very similar happenings, the sensor had shifted or shorted causing the failure of the speedo as thats where the speedo gets its data from. However it only gets it from one sensor, on the BMWs its the passenger rear, dont know which one it would be on yours, worth a punt though.
