I fancy a 'new' car and I like the idea of a 550.
Whats the experience like eg useability, reliability, running costs etc...?

I have owned 3 TVRs - two of which were cost me over £12K in servicing and repairs in under 2 yrs EACH.

I presume there are good indies for Ferrari that can sort probs out much cheaper eg engine rebuilds (god forbid) and such like...?
thanks

Just get one! There's a mine of info on them, in here, and not a bad word to be read. Although I did 200 miles yesterday in a Chimaera, and that was just awesome. So, I can heartly recommend one of each!

The mechanicals are fairly robust and the handling very good as it came out of the factory.

Also, it doesn't require engine out servicing like the 348/355s so, on that basis I would allow an average of £3k a year general running ... unless something untoward occurs. Some years may be a bit more, some a bit less.
