Afternoon all.

I'm making a few 'adjustments' to the E38. Having got a little over-enthusiastic with the DSC off and the V8 on song, I need some new tyres, and quickly. redface

So I thought what better time to upgrade the wheels. biggrin

I'm looking for something with a really deep dish, 18 or 19 inch, and as wide as I can get away with in as low an offset as I can get away with, retaining the standard staggered fitment. So probably a 10 inch at the back and a 9 up front.

Any suggestions? I've looked at the usual fayre from BBS, breyton etc, but they're far more than I'm looking to pay in light of the other parts I've bought / am buying this month. Even a suggestion as to a manufacturer worth looking at would be ace.

New or second hand in good nick is fine, deep dish and the right fitment is priority.

Cheers,
Stu.

Welcome to Bimmer ownership chap (or should that be the other way round?)

Breyton do some 'phat' wheels for the E38. I'm not talking Bradford Dealer, but rims that give the car a bit more presence.

I always found Ben @ Chrmoline Design very helpful (google it). Perhaps he could point you in the right direction of a vendor?

Let me know how you get on; I'm after some spinnaz for my E32 biggrin

I'm kidding

I'll probably be using them as my winter wheels tbh buddy, just fling some winter tyres on etc, be heading to the alps in the barge when the snow comes back. They're 18's matey, not sure of the widths, 8.5 front 9.5 rear I think.

These are the wheels that are on atm (not my car).

The borbets aren't really doing anything for me redface

The car's going a matt / satin black using a full vinyl wrap, hence fancying something similar for the wheels, but I'm not really wanting to pay silly money. Got a supercharger to pay for and it's only a daily hack smile Closest thing I can find to show what I'm after achieving is ....

Basically the more dish the better, without looking too OTT. 4 inches of dish at the back would be nice, obviously a tad less at the front.

Which system are you going for Stu? My ESS/Vortech V2SQ has been reliable for the last 5 years or so.

Was looking at the VF kits but I've heard too many good things about the ESS ones to say no smile
