It clearly needs adjusting.

Having said that I couldn't tell you about the handbrake on the Gallardo as I never use it, can't see the point.

Hi. Yes, my handbrake is the same. It works okay, but requires a good tug first.

It must need adjusting, it's an MOT fail if it's that bad.

My Murcielago handbrake is absolutely st. It went for its MOT and the guy had to measure its effeciency with some device he laid on the floor which measures the force braked once the handbrake was applied whilst going at about 10mph. It barely even registered but the car passed!!!

Ok, hardy ha ha.

I have no idea how good the handbrake is on the Gallardo, like I say I never use it, so I'm a real man too!

My point was it must be capable of working ok otherwise it wouldn't pass the construction and use regulations, type approval and, hillarious though it is, an MOT.

Ergo the "none of them work" line is cobblers.

IMHO

No problem, not offended, just a gentle push back to all the glib hilarity to try and give a truthful answer.

The handbrake on my Gallardo was also rubbish. Came up far to high and would not hold. I took it into Indy who said it had been adjusted incorrectly (something to do with the order in which you adjust and apply to acivate the self adjustment or some such tecky explanation). Anyway now it is fine and only needs slight application to apply and it holds on hills etc. I too don't use it much but good to know it can work in need.
