Hi Folks,

I'd be grateful for some feedback on the above.

I've got my 2005 VZ LS2 ute insured with Adrian Flux on a limted mileage per year policy (10k miles).

That's OK because I only do about 6 in it.

I am over 50 with 6 years+ no claims and a clean license. The truck is garaged at work every night.

My first years cost was £600. I just got a renewal for £670 and I let them know I had the following and future mods and would the price be the same?:

Headers, cam, exhaust, performance torque convertor, HD brakes.

Future mod's to include: performance heads and intake, LS7 427 cubic inch bottom end with forged internals, uprated gearbox and driveline.

I recieved a confirmation of the £670 and have until 9th July to decide.

Now the question is, what do you guys think? generally I'm happy with Flux's because they appear to know what we are running, but in the past I have read of guys getting better prices elsewhere.

Cheers Gareth

In case it helps mine was insured through SkyInsurance - CV8 Monaro with headers/exhaust/remapped/upgraded brakes/suspension - 650.

Was quoted 770 by both Flux and Sky but haggled them down to 650 so sounds about right I guess ?

40 year old, full NCB, garaged.

Cheers Jason do you have a mileage limit?. BTW I tried getting in touch with A plan when I first brought the ute back. Never got a reply from them though.

Greenlight don't do pickups so turned me down. Stupid, I thought there was a credit crunch on???

The difference between a Maloo and a Monaro = 2 seats and about 4" in WB.

Anyway, better off going with a company who know their wheelbraces from hubcaps.

Right chaps, I gave Flux a list of all the mods done and all those planned this year and they've covered me for £670, which I'm not moaning about.

I'd say thats a great price. Our is £640 for the two of us and the cars standard. You've made me think though, will we need to inform our insurers of the sports pack and ripper?

In theory you'd think the AP's would have bought the price down. But then its the cost of replacing them in the event of an accident i suppose. Anyway, what are you at the fish for mate?
