What happens to crowd surfers? Anyone do it?
Discussion
Was at the Kings of Leon gig on Tuesday and noticed a guy crowd surfing who got passed to the front and grabbed by security and escorted off somewhere.
I just wondered whether security usually kicked them out of the venue or just let them back in at the back of the crowd.
Anyone know? Anyone do it?

Haha, that reminds me of this 'news' story from earlier in the year:

Depends on the venue and how packed it is. You don't get chucked out, you get let back in either through a manned gap in the barrier at the edges, or taken back round to the regular entrance.
Says the voice of experience. You didn't strike me as the crowd surfing mosh pit type FGCoco H said:

Done it plenty. Normally the bouncers pull you off the crowd and escort you to the edge so you can rejoin and start again.
Worst one was at Cambridge corn exchange; I went over the front but there was no bouncer to catch me and as I was going head first I ended up falling forwards and crushing my todger between the barrier and my leg. The 90 seconds it took me to walk from the front of the stage to the gents to check "it" was still attached were probably the most harrowing 90 seconds of my life.
All was well though, and I got straight back on top of the crowd.
I remember being at the Junction as well for a Therapy gig going crazy to the first support band (Kerbdog?) when Credit to the Nation came on. Instantly I was surrounded by a load of massive black geezers going nuts with no way out.
Fortunately one of them saw my predicament so kindly picked me up and threw me on top of the crowd so I could escape to safety.
What a nice man.
