Focus Black Forest - Thoughts? Opinions?
Discussion
Does anyone have any thoughts or opinions on the Focus Black Forest mountain bike? The hardware looks fantastic and the weight is very low, which is obviously very appealing, but it seems strange to buy a bike like this for this money over the web...which is the only way apparently.
The reason for replacement is that my old Carrera Vulcan with a million aftermarket parts is getting long in the tooth now (about 12 years old) and the entire drivetrain is getting rough along with the front hub, which had a bearing shatter in it and has made it rather rough too. For the money that I could spend really sorting my current bike out, I might as well go for something new and quite a bit fancier.

they are only available from wiggle as you say so you have to havea rough idea of the geometry for your size before you choose but wiggle are good at exchanging.
focus are german and better known on the continent than here. i had a good look at them at teh cycle show last year as they were new to these shores nad as you say, the spec was top notch. the hardtail bikes look fantastic, the full sus are a bit of an aging design but clearly functional. i see a few of their road bikes about too so the brand is gaining popularity. i dont think you will be disappointed if you bought one.
