Rear brakes work absolutely fine. However the handbrake self adjusting mechanism inside the calipers does not appear to work. As a result the handbrake is rubbish and will fail its next MOT. From what I gather you cannot service the self adjusters so its time to replace the calipers.

Can anyone let me know what the calipers originate from. Car is a Tuscan 1, 2002.

They are Sierra Cosworth I think. Make sure the lever on the back of the caliper is free as, if it doesn´t return properly, the self adjust mechanism can´t work.

the rear calipers are ford cosworth ,be careful though as when i got mine they are mounted at the rear of the disc on the tuscan and on the front of the disc on the cosworth so the osr on the cosworth is the near side rear on the tuscan,if you look on e-bay I got mine for £60 new
