Busy changing shocks to ggps
While inside rear nearside arch have access to fuel pump and filter
Checked rubber fuel line from tank to pump and noticed some huge splits
Have now replaced it with some marine grade fuel line
My question: is there any other rubber pipe for fuel hidden away or is this the only bit?
Rest seems to be hard plastic and mostly inside the car

Can´t tell for where there might be other of these poor quality rubber lines, but made the very same observation on mine last year and had it changed for a high quality hose.
I think this is worth wile checking for everybody. This line is dangerousely close to very hot exhaust parts... which could easily cause a fire, once it starts leaking !

100% agree
I was horrified.
Mines a 2002 car with 14K on the clock. And in really good condition under the road grime.

So how this line has perished so badly is beyong me. Actually its more like a bl**dy great split...about 25mm long along the length. Almost through to the core. Like a cut.

Everyone should get theirs checked IMO

The other one worth checking is at the back of the fuel rail, under the scuttle panel where the wipers are.

Cheers,
