Out of interest, why do you say "Cheers, The Moose" in every post? Do you say the same after every sentence when you speak?

Does it offend? Does it ruin your reading experience?

I guess it's more out of habit!!

At least I'm not pearoasting in the Sean Connery Joke Thread hehe (well, not yet anyway!!)

If you look carefully, you will see that there is the odd post where I don't sign off like that - they are a bit like a postage stamp with a mistake - rare and valuable biggrin

Does it really bother you that much that it deserves it's own thread?!?

Cheers

No smile

It's just interesting really. I type as little as possible so it just doesn't really make sense to me. Do you still do it on something like a mobile device where typing is more of a pain?

Good!!

I tend to read more on the iPhone than post, although when it's being the iPoo (I know, I know!!) I do post! Although typing on the iPhone really isn't an issue at all - and a lot of my texts (not to the OH!!) do end with Cheers TM or equivalent.

TBH, I sign off my e-mails with that...well not actually "The Moose" on the end, but with that (although I have been known to be typing a boring e-mail after posting here and actually typing The Moose!! hehe

At least I try with my speeeeelingg and punc'tuat-ion and that grammar bit wink

Should I... Maybe...oh bugger it - go on then! wink

Cheers

It doesn't offend, but it does skew my reading experience. I read threads like a conversation. So a mundane thread like:

A) Hi
B) Hi
A) How are you?
B) Fine thanks, you?
A) I'm good

Can read:

A) Hi

Cheers,

The Moose

B) Hi

A) How are you?

Cheers,

The Moose

B) Fine thanks, you?

A) I'm good

Cheers,

The Moose

Is it a psychological difference then, do you read threads as a series of emails instead of a continuous chat?

I guess that is one way to put it. I do use e-mails in a fairly chatting format (as well as more formal etc) and as such will send/receive 10 each in a few minutes.

On the whole, I guess I would read it more as a series of emails rather than a continuous chat, yes.

Interesting point you raise though and I don't think I will change being all set in my ways etc!!

Must be a day for firsts. It's also the first time I've read a whole post of yours without being violently ill.

Have fun,

The difference is my "first" was truthful.

Your's wasn't. It was just for laughs and to be the "forum clown".
Nothing new there then.

You could probably be quite funny if you stopped trying so hard.

I like it when posters have these 'quirky' characteristics.

I noticed that, but I used to reply to things cheers, cas and because it's my name it goes un-noticed, I think it's more noticed because of the "the moose" part.
