Anyone know of any oilish substance that could leak from the rear end of the car?

Saw sum spots on the drive this morning that could be fresh which seems strange and from the rear also... Whats at the rear?

Car went to Castle few weeks back who said no leaks at all...

My guess would be the Diff.

Strange as the car went for a 24k service a few weeks back so they should have picked this up...

Unless your car was trailered home and hasn't turned a wheel since then maybe, just maybe, it could have started leaking after the service?!

Is the leak in the centre of the car, or off to one side? Is it an oily deposit?

Seems to be the centre and yeh kinda like an oily deposit.

Had this before it went in. Asked them to check if any leaks as it was in for a 24k service but only one found was from an oil pipe at the front which was replaced.

Will give them a buzz monday. They are really cool guys very helpful... Might not have been an easy one to spot...

Was just more worried with the fact i could see sum crappy oil spot on my drive...

Have you checked the oil pressure sender switch ? When mine leaked it crept along the O/S chassis rail whilst driving (at speed) then dripped onto my driveway from near the back. I thought it was the gearbox at first ...

Could be the breather is blocked building up pressure in the diff & forcing fluid out
