I am having my wastegate/valves slightly fettled tomorrow, new valves are being fitted.

When I accelerate from a low gear, or 6th weirdly I get that lovely howl type noise, almost after the engine? like a bark..It's a great noise..Engine generated but must be valve or straight through bypass that causes it? ( I am not technical)

A) Why is is not frequent, without it the car sounds like a tractor, a nice tractor but a tractor.

B) It's a standard exhaust, if I fit a Capristo I know I will get the F1 car howl but do you still get this lovely 'Ferrari echoey type bark, from 1st-2nd etc?

Thanks!!

The bypass valve should open at 2.5k revs in each gear except 3rd where it opens at 4.5k revs (to pass EU driveby rules) you'll get more noise where you've put the engine under load as the valve opens more fully compared to revs, try driving it harder smile
