A classic film on today.

Now, was it me, or is it a tad revealing to be on before 9pm? I mean, completely see through clothes at one point?

Very silly film but how hot does Jenny Agutter look in that film? cloud9

Major schoolboy crush on her.

It was the cut version mind, would be at that time of day obviously! The full version is actually better as you see more of her, I seem to remember.

I reckon an up to date and actually good remake of this would be good now. Just wondering who would fill the Jenny Agutter role now though... so many good looking actresses to choose from! hehe

Unfortunately when it comes to modern posh totty they always end up casting Kiera Knightly.

I still find Miss Agutters puppies quite mesmerising smile It was interesting to see Logans Run again after so many years, i don't remember the dodgy acting, slow pace and awful special effects!

Well, that was my point. Her outfit was rather see through in one scene, to the degree that I thought she practically wasn't wearing anything..............

But that happens with anything you haven't watched for a long time. As a kid I used to love watching the old 1930's Flash Gordon when it was shown every Saturday morning and school holidays. I couldn't make a guess at how many times I'd seen each episode. A couple of years ago I bought it on DVD, started to watch it, never finished the first episode. It just wasn't how I remembered it. I'll give it another go some time.

I can still watch Logan's Run (although I didn't realise it was on today - so just ordered a copy from play.com for £5). Miss Agutter does help distract you from the dodgy special effects. Of course if you want to see Miss Agutter there is only one film to watch and that is Walkabout, one of the most visual stunning films I've seen.

Or of course her excellent turn in American Werewolf in London.

Wasn't there someone on this forum who lived down the road from her when he was younger. Said she was very nice & down to earth?

17 or 18. I think it is that she was originally signed to do the film when 15 but production was delayed and didn't start for a couple of years.

I'll have to have a listen to the commentary track on the DVD and see if she mentions anything.

Just watching it now, the effects etc are poor by modern standards but it's actually not bad. A film that probably could do with a remake maybe?

Don't give them ideas! The special effects may be dodgy, but it was a genuine effort.

If Hollywood remakes it, it'll star Matt fking Damon and Jessica Alba.

They made a TV series that I remember watching as well, used quite a bit from the film in it.

The Island is like a homage to Logans Run i guess, very similar theme anyway.

Clearly this is where Star Trek has been going on, and if there is ever a new series, it should feature an all-female crew...

Hated the film as the book is much more imaginative and wide raging. The whole of the world is age limited and the limit is 21. Mind I don't think the "Everlove" scenes would make it past the censor!!! The other Sandman Francis survives and is a key part of the book. .
