wheel arch widening

Does it mean a small bit of plastic that sits at the bottom of the rear arches, to extend them? They fitted something like that to the AMG flavour CL ....
I've just studied the pics, and both 18 and 19" wheel arches has those plastic strips. So where exactly did they widened the arches?Fender rolling: in the case of Mercedes, it means that the folded inside lip of the wheelarch is pushed back in further. Interestingly, this modification has been required for big wheels for decades now: I think it is the engineers' way of making it plain that bigger wheels rarely are any better.
