Thanks for that. I mean anyone would think that I was after reccommendations rather than a generic list from Google.

I bought PS Elements 7 and installed it on Saturday - i've never used any PS software before and the flimsy booklet that comes with it is useless so I bought a book called 'Photoshop Elements 7 Book for Digital Photographers' by Scott Kelby & Matt Kloskowski.
I haven't got it yet, I only ordered it off Amazon last night so it should be here tomorrow.

If you are using CS4, under the Help menu there are a whole load of built in tutorials.
But honestly the best way is to just get stuck in an follow lots of the tutorials online.
Find an effect you find interesting and follow a tutorial to help you do it.
Once oyu start looking you will find more and more stuff out there.

Trial and error. Thats how i learnt, and i think thats the best...
At first I found PS totally bewildering and counter-intuitive. Then somehow it started making sense and now I can do everything I want to do with it. I like the idea of poking things around until you figure out what to do, but then again I agree there may be some killer technique I'd never find that way. However I find magazine tutorials utterly tedious. Gassing Station | Photography & Video | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
