Is this what it has become?

Yes it was somewhat unruly ..Some git tried to get in our car whilst we were moving . Also heard from a Houx 'neighbour' that a bottle had been thrown at their car . Beer and waterpistols and even flour and eggs ( although they will dent bodywork ) not to much of a problem , but bottles do make a mess of the paintwork . Bit of a shame .
I saw that bit on Friday afternoon and to be fair it was ok and seemed to be 'all in good fun'. You could tell it was going to get out of hand the drunker people got.
This was confirmed at about 11pm. I had another look (we were waiting on another one from our group arriving) when I got back from the drivers parade and was absolutely disgusted with what I saw. I managed about 2 minutes before going back to our camp. Doors were being opened and car occupants soaked, objects being thrown and I even heard that one van driver had got out and punched someone. I guess all the stuff people were talking about last year!
To be fair to those in the photo though - I honestly don't know if they were there or not. I never saw them but I never exactly ventured into the madness.

This was my second year.....avoided this sort of thing both times. Very dangerous!!! Hope it's not a FATAL that brings it all to an end. I understand everyone wants to enjoy themselves.....but is it not going a bit far ???
I thought the idea was to admire some wonderful cars....not attack them !!!

when we go we avoid these places, i only have a Cupra R but i can imagine the guys with more expensive machines cant be too impressed with whats going on. One reason we dont stay in Le Mans, we travel 40 mins to a surrounding town and hire a Gite.

There seemed to be a conspicuous lack of exotica there. My colleagues have taken Astons and (current) Bentleys there in the past and the consensus was they'd have to avoid Mad Friday these days if they did.
It's got to the point where you have to really need to leave the campsites on Friday now as you end up having to face the gauntlet of this lot when trying to get back in.
I always make the trip to St Saturnin & then stock up at the hypermarket on a Friday & have been stuck in the queues that this lot cause, suffering the abuse when I won't spin the wheels for their amusement.

We had no bother this year despite being in convoys with an M5, two Diablos, a Ford GT, a 599GBT, a 355 and a Caterham. We all commented that Friday seemed a lot better natured than previous years, there was a congregation on the Mulsanne encouraging burnouts but it was good natured, no threat, we got a cheer for having our inflatable friend out of the sunroof.
Yep, Total disrespect for people and there cars
I stayed well away from the inner road that runs up from Beausejour past Karting Nord and Houx.
The result was a GREAT LE MANS.
I would like to question the crowd that thinks its fun to spray someones car with water or trys to get in a car for .....Er FUN!!!!!!
Some of these people are on here! So I would just like to know Have any of you got a brain?

This year was nowhere near as bad as last year. Although that said I did almost get into a fight with about ten of them as I went up to one of the worst culprits and told him that if he didnt stop acting a prick Id punch him and all his friends. They calmed down a bit after that.
In my opinion a little blast from a water pistol is funny and should be meant as it is - just a bit of harmless fun. HOWEVER hitting cars or throwing piss etc on them is a different story and gladly I saw none of that this year. If I had I would have punched their heads in.

That is outside Karting.
I was camping in Karting this year and last. I'd hate to camp backing onto the road. If they want people to burn out etc... so much, why don't they go and get in their cars!!?
During the day it seems calm enough, but when it starts getting to the evening, it all gets a bit silly. From the picture, the lout drinking the beer was the main one trying to stop cars. Seemed a bit of a prick.
