OK Guys,

I read lots of threads on here that references things such as "What does the laptop say ..." or suggesting plugging in a laptop to help diagnose the MIL light for example ...

So - just what is needed to be able to "plug in" to my Cerb ? Laptop not an issue but I guess the leads and the software required must be a little more bespoke..

Pointers apprectiated type

Neil,
you just need a laptop with a serial lead input (or an adaptor lead available from most IT shops) and the software available from Dave Hinns website:

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/dave.hinns/software.h...

Just copy all the files over, open the exe file and it should run.

Have funtongue out

As above, but if it does not work straight off check that your 232 port (or the port that you are connecting your 232 adaptor to) is set to be COM1 under control panel - device manager - Ports (COM & LPT)
