I nearly bought it myself and was eventually quoted circa £35k. Alot of car for the cash imo but decided on a more "sensible" standard Bathurst edition for £7k less than that with 20" wheels and the bi-modal sports exhaust.
If you dont want the frills, you can get a regular R8 for £23k for this month only with a £6k Vauxhall registration incentive plus haggling the dealer margin.
Some cracking deals out there at the moment!

27k is the best confirmed deal I've seen so far though Motorbodies are hoping to do 25k if they get an order for 10 together. 6k off list takes standard car to 29k so 27k is already biting a heavy chunk out of the dealer margin. Salesman at Belmont, Aberdeen had to confirm his sales manager would match it if I could sort a deal for the Monaro and the Astra. Unfortunately the Astra finance deficit is making it complete nonsense to do so it doesnt look on for me. Advice I got on here was to look at standard car and spend the 3k difference for the Bathurst on mods of my own choosing - looking in to it I'd have to agree with that advice.

Ok plus its a 6L L98 not LS3

Ok, so first its wrong, now its right but undriveable. I see..
How about taking a look at this then http://www.ls1.com.au/forum/showthread.php?t=10354...
Same car in around town drive format
Terry also asked me if my car had the stock cam in it, when he called by last night. So just because an NA setup goes fast (or in my case slow) doesnt mean its undriveable.
But you guys wouldnt know that as you drive ashmatic lumps of ineffiency so NA horsepower is something you are not familiar with nor understand

Oh I think we do mate.
We give thanks to the thousands of people like you over the past 70 years who have braved the elements and soul destroying experiments to provide us with fire breathing monsters featuring such things as ported and chambered heads, magical cams and custom tunes designed to extract every last ounce of power limited only by the rules of physics, designed to go as fast as they possibly can.........
AND THEN WE SLAP A BLOWER ON IT TO MAKE IT GO EVEN FASTER

Gassing Station | HSV & Monaro | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff

If this is the actual price why would anyone buy one of these new?? It would loose £15- £20K on leaving the forecourt.
