I'm sure I recall seeing those photos on here before. Isn't it a matt black wrap?

I don't know about that - maybe Matt is the new black? I Imagine it would be stay looking good post clean longer than all our shiney-shine-shine-polished-but-so-easily-swirled finishes do. I like it (but tellingly I wouldn't want to swap).

But not different if it's a wrap? confused

p.s. As I said about a similarly treated DB9 on the AMOC forum, it's fashionable and fortunately fashions come and go.

There's a matt black wrap V8 vantage often parked in mayfair... i've seen it many times and it looks okay - not sure if its the same one here, but I do wonder why wrap the best painted car in the world? Is it not true that Astons are painted 29 times (or something like that) -- the paint job does not compare to any other car... why wrap it??? Me do not understand?!

I meant its "nothing new" if its a temporary wrap ...seems to be the "in thing" this summer for sportscars ...but if its a factory finish paint job in matt, then ive not seen that before

each to their own, but not for me thanks ......

If they got it right the first time...smile

Not noticed them be that exemplary. And the paint isn't half soft (as with most water based crap).

I think it looks quite cool. Seems to make all the lines and styling much clearer that with a high shine finish.

One question though. Doesn't a matt black finished car absorb even more heat than a shiny black one and would be hot as hell anywhere a bit sunny?

I think it looks good but it just misses the mark just a bit. Let me preface by saying I fking love flat black cars ie;cgt F430 tunero and flat black Phantom . But on the Aston it just doesn't have that SNAP DAMN to it ya know...

You would seem to be American so I will have to overloook the contorted use of English but there's quite simply no need for foul language on the Aston Martin forum. nono

Umm - their Tech data shows it as a 4.7 registered in 56.
Must have been one of those rare pre-launch updated models!
