Bought a bed its delivered, its damaged whats my rights ??

Ok finally got my new king size bed but after unwrapping found the matress topping is compressed due to the fact its all been wrapped too tight at the factory. What re my rights as the supplier says its a special order and can only offer an exchange where a serious manufacturing default has occured. This is in the small print of course, however I thought the sale of goods act would help me, any Ideas

Won't it just bounce back if you leave it out of the packaging for a few hours?

The factory won't deliberately ruin their own product, I suspect the the mattress just needs time to fill with air and plump up.

Is there memory foam in there? That compresses right down!

I'd give them a call - I'd imagine they may get this a bit, and it could be a stock answer.

if its a memory foam these can take up to a week to plump up, also how did you buy it, if you ordered it over the phone or internet you have seven days in which you can return it and get a full refund. If you do give me a quick call and il sort you something out
