Classifieds Advert Number controversy

I noticed this a while back with a couple of categories with few adverts in, but noticed it again today so thought I'd post about it...
The Morgan Aero 8 Section has three (all trade) adverts in it, so why does the Classifieds Home page show the following:

Aero 8 (1)
The Morris "All Models" category says that there are 6 adverts, yet there are actually 9?

There are two things which cause those numbers to be misleading.
Firstly, they only update every 12 hours which means if adverts have been added or removed recently then the number will not necessarily have updated to match.
Secondly, the number in brackets is the number of active (i.e. Not "Sold via PistonHeads) adverts less than 30 days old. As dealer ads can stay on the site for up to 60 days, a category with old dealer ads in it will always show a lower number than is correct.
It doesn't make much difference on the bigger categories, but as you have spotted it can be quite obvious on the smaller ones. We are aware of it though and will get it sorted asap.
