did anybody not get there tickets after ordering online? my tickets failed to arrive so after contacting silverstone i was told that they had already been sent (this was 2 weeks prior to the event)they gave me a trace and tracking number which when entered on the royal mail website said that my tickets had been delivered!! in May!! now unless i,am losing it and going senile i don,t remember ever signing for them.anyway to cut a long story short my thanks to silverstone circuits ltd for their good will gesture in allowing me and my brother in to the GP at the weekend.and after further investigation into the "lost" tickets i will be making a claim from the Royal Mail to recover the cost.
has anybody else had similar problems?

I had a parcel stolen once.

Once I reported the parcel missing the git returned to my neighbour and got her to sign saying that he had been to look for the parcel.

What she signed was the paperwork saying she recieved the parcel..

This took a lot of my time up, the guy got sacked and I recieved a replacement but no compensation for all of my wasted time.

The courier was 'Parcel Fraud'....sorry 'Force' smile

OP - Were they signed for?

You can't lodge a claim with RM, that's the sender that does that. Why put a claim in anyway as you didn't actually loss anything?

On our way in on Friday, the people in front of us were explaining that they hadn't recieved their tickets. The lady security guard responded with "you can't come in without your tickets, it's not my fault, I'm just doing my job". Which was nice.

sorry i,ve not made myself quite clear on this, RM say they have deliveried the tickets,(but can,t seem to find prof of anybody signing for them) further ivestigation has revealed that the postie has lost the card, electronic signiture, or whatever it is they take back to the sorting office to prove that they have delivered the package to the receipient. now this might be the case or not, it is not up to me to say at this time, having spoken to the manager at the sorting office he thinks the RM has case to answer so much so that post office customer services are now sending a claim form for me to recover the cost of the lost tickets and any expense i might have incured trying to locate them, phone calls trips to the sorting office etc whether this results in any compo being paid is another story, but i,am not going to let this go away its the fact that they did not do the job they were paid for and the fact that my tickets were lost/ stolen/ sold on...(mark as applicable) i just can,t see the point in letting them/him/her get away with it
