Kangaroo Petrol ?!

Only had the T350 for a couple of months and had a weird issue with it this afternoon.
Drove for half an hour to a driving range, all fine. Car was parked up for about an hour before I set off to return home.
Car wasn't right from the start. It was as if there was a blockage in the fuel filter, pressing the acelerator the car would lurch forward with some acceleration, but if an engine can hiccup, then this one definitely was doing !!! It was a similar effect to when you're first learning clutch control .....
Managed to pull into a petrol station, filled it up (in case the last batch was dodgy in some way), started car and all absolutely fine.
Am wondering if perhaps not all of the cylinders had been firing, management system thus got confused. Maybe switching off and on re-set something ?
Just wondering if anyone else has experienced anything similar ? Obviously hoping I don't have this again, but if I did then would have to go back to garage :-(

Was all over the place for no discernible reason. Kangerooing up the road, strange spurts of acceleration, stalling at junctions etc
Turns out I had got in the wrong door and let the wife drive
