Issue at low temperatures
Discussion
Hello all,
I was wondering if you could help me, I've got an e36 320i and am having a bit of an issue with it. When starting my car from cold it can be rather rough. As soon as the engine temperature gets to just above the blue section on the temperature gauge it's absolutely fine and pulls strongly to the red line.
I get occasional backfires, very little power and reluctance to rev. I've looked into different bits and bobs under the bonnet and there is a ticking noise which comes from just below the black section just on from the air filter.
I'm not sure whether it's a Air Mass Meter issue or Fuel Pump or what.
If someone could help it would be a great help.
Thanks,
Dave
