HSD Coilovers - Self Fit ?
Discussion
Is the fitting of coilovers a DIY'ers type job or should it be only left to the professionals ?
I'm tempted by the seemingly good price on the HSD's - if i did them myself or got my friendly service garage to fit them, i assume i'd need to take the car to Monkfish to get geometry setup correctly.
Dean.

Coilovers aren't generally hard to fit. Haven't personnally fitted to the Monaro but the suspension layout is the same as previous cars I have.
You will need a set of coil spring compressors for removal of the old front struts and if you need to re-use the top mount. Rears are easy enough with the separate damper/coil setup, except sometimes getting the spring out from between the trailing arm and chassis can be awkward. Unbolting the half shafts from the diff stubs is sometimes wise if you need to jimmy the trailing arm low enough to get the spring out to prevent any damage to the CV joints. Check after fitting for any clearance issues with the front rims and the struts. Don't think this is an issue with any Monaro kits but i've had to fit wheel spacers to other cars.
Someone else may hopefully be able to point out any car specific issues or differences.
Due to the front camber adjustment bolt and i'm assuming you'll be lowering the car, i'd get the geometry setup after fitting.
