Why are they so expensive now?! I paid £2.90 for 10 B&H silvers at the newsagents opposite my office - 2 years ago it would have been £2.50!

Is that just "London prices" or are you paying stupid amounts of money for cigarettes which cost less than 20p to make a box of 20?!

Have you not noticed Winky putting the tax up every 6 months?

Can I suggest a trip to Poland to stock up? £20 for 200.

(although for some reason HMRC will only allow 200 at a time, despite being one happy EU...)

Rollies are the way forward.

My weekly fag spend went from ~£40 a week down to £7

And you can also accessorise with a dog on string, which was nice.

+1

Cheap as chips, plus

- you can 'do' stuff while smoking them, like work on cars, they go out, you re-light when you're ready
- you choose how lung-busting you make them
- they don't emit clouds of smoke like normal fags

I'm a bit of a rollie convert too. When we bob over to France, one of her mates stocks up on tobacco from Switzerland for us. 15€ for 200gr - camel tobacco. Lasts me over a month per tub.

15 euro for 7 ounces? Christ that is cheap.

Half price in fact.

Yeah, it's an absolute bargain. It's also partly one of the reasons why I simply refuse to smoke normal cigarettes now (that and actually preferring the taste).

I always said that once fags hit £5 a pack I'd stop smoking.

Well, I stopped smoking cigarettes and went onto the rollies. 25g's and two packs of papers does me a week easily!

See, now I want a cig (I was going to say "Fag" but that may offend our Yank brethren or even if I said "Bum a fag" it may offend everyone so I wont)

Now where is my E cig gone?

Cheers,

The Moose.

Mainly the reason I quit.

Just couldn't afford to take it back up again.
